Can OSMS for UNIX read OpenVMS FILES-11 formatted optical disks that were not created with OSMS for OpenVMS? Thanks, Judy

How were they created? The reason I ask is some competing optical products say they create Files-11 optical disks but they are really only 99% Files-11. If another product does what the OSxS OVMS product does, which is pass through I/O to the F11BXQP with no changes or addotions, then the Digital UNIX OSMS product should be able to read that disk. Depending on the business potential, maybe you could make arrangements to send a disk to our group to evaluate? Rob |
