752.3OSMS v. 3.4 required for OpenVMS v. 7.xSUOGRA::GRAMMERFri Jan 24 1997 02:2514
OpenVMS v. 7.x requires OSMS v. 3.4

A customer ordered OSMS in nov, 1996,
but got OSMS v. 3.3.

Where/how can he get v. 3.4 for his OpenVMS v. 7.1?

The question in 752.0 hasn'nt been answered.

OpenVMS v. 7.0 became available one year ago,
OpenVMS v. 7.1 is available now.

    Call the Product Manager.

Availability questions won't be answered here until/unless the product
is either close to ready to ship, or it is decided that it will
    never happen.

This is not a new policy - same as it has been. The answer in here will
be the same as long as this is the policy.

    Sorry,

There are no OSDS or OSMS releases that currently support beyond
OpenVMS V6.2 or V6.2-1Hx (as of Jan 31, 1997). The OSxS team is
investigating options involving support of higher versions of
    OpenVMS.

Please send you 2 worth on what you feel OSxS needs to do to our
    product manager.
