          Describes a series of benchmarks jointly conducted by Digital and
     JD Edwards and was intended to determine the number of OneWorld
     transactions per hour that could be supported across the range of
     Digital platforms. Testing was done using a 2-tier environment with
     business applications configured on the clients and business data
     configured on the Digital database servers.

          Lotus Notes R4.11A performance testing was conducted on the
     Digital Equipment Corporation Prioris ZX 6200MP, configured with one
     and two 200 MHz CPUs with one gigabyte RAM. The Server was running
     Microsoft Windows NT Server V3.51 (sp4). The Notes workload was
     generated using Lotus Development Corporation's NotesBench V4.11
     benchmarking tool. Auditing of the testing was performed by KMDS
     Technical Associates of Oakridge, TN during September/October, 1996.

          The document contains performance information for a data warehouse
     environment. An application scenarion from the telecommunication
     industry was used for the performance characterization. All references

     query performance in a high-end environment. Configuration guidelines
     addressing performance and availability are also provided.

     The paper is for "Internal Use Only". We are only allowed to distribute
