| The closest Barbra is coming to New England is Madison Square Garden in
New York. Tickets went on sale a while back for lots of dollars. Not
sure there are any available, although your friendly neighborhood
scalper usually has a few...

Yeah, it only takes a few minutes to sell the couple of rows you
didn't block out for the agencies first.

| I can't believe what they are asking/getting for these. My sister
in law stood in line, got a bracelet, got six (6) tickets at regular
box office price.....we are going into nyc for this, and plan to spend
what we did not give to the 'scalpers' on a good dinner and a limo !
feels good to only pay retail.........specially for barbra

Can you tell me what you paid for the tickets and where you
purchased them. I never saw them advertised in the Boston
area.

| we got them in NY, actually in Ardsley...a suburb. We had a choice of
$40, or $125...we took the $125's....figured if we are going that far
might as well go for it.
I think it will be worth the money.......especially now that I hear
what people are paying....

Umm, as soon as Rush Limbaugh leaves? Seriously, I haven't a clue. At
least that's what people keep telling me.

chauffered past a billboard advertising her concerts with a line about

| Went last weekend to her NY show. It was worth the $125 !!!! this was
a 1st class act from beginning to end.....lighting/staging/orchestra
etc. was perfect....Garden was all carpeted ! She sang for 2 hours and
has a set of pipes that blow you away in person.
This was/is NOT an electric light show with inflated animals and yahoo
props.....the Lady sings..........

You mean she's not doing that bit where her inflated ego floats out
over the audience???

| re -1 Nope, none of that, she sang..that was it. I'm no big Barbra
fan BUT ya got to acknowledge the voice. She's pushin 50, hits notes
that amaze.
Plenty of bigger egos than hers out there without half the talent she
displays.
Worth the price of admission.......entertainment........
Better than the last RUSH concert !!!!

RE: Jerry
Oh, I'd never debate her talent. I happen to like her voice
alot, and have actually listened to at least one of her al-
bums.
She's got excellent range and "vocal stamina" [I can't think
of the word that I believe would replace "vocal stamina"].

"vocal stamina" = brass ovums?
I like her, too. In small doses... I'd go to the concert if it was
easy enough.

Well, I gotta give you credit for seeing Rush and Barbra in the same lifetime!
I've never seen Barbra, though I'd see her if someone gave me a ticket. I've
seen Rush about 10 times, though, and they always pleased me (especially 7th
row center!)
