I heard a track by Sandra Wilson or at least I think it was her. The DJ said that she had done around 7 albums, was very jazz/blue influenced which was evident by the track. Can anyone give me more details, like the right name, what albums she has done, style etc ? Regards, dave

Probably *Cassandra* Wilson, she has recordings out on the JMT and Blue Note labels (maybe others). She covers the range from pretty traditional jazz ballad singing ("Blue Skies") to mixing modern jazz up with hip-hop ("Jump Street"). She works regularly with a loose collective of young jazz players who call their music M-Base. Brian |
