I'm looking to buy a set of CDs that was advertised on TV, called
"Piano by Candlelight", as a Christmas gift for someone. I haven't
seen the ad on TV lately - does anyone know how/where I can get the
phone #? I believe it was "Time/Life" that offered it ...
Thanks,
Jim

> Is this person you worst ememy? Lemme guess, Richard Clayderman in > spades! Well, Time/Life is better than Richard Clayderman -- it's just their pricing ($20/disk once you account for various charges) and marketing that makes them seem ersatz... They decided to go for actual quality in their various series (through use of hired guns), and it's become a cash cow. I conscientiously object to their approach, but their series actually aren't bad. Better than most legitimate record companies did in the 70s & 80s. Most likely this set is a set of "classical favorites", aimed for "candlelight" demographics. Most likely the contents are well-chosen and among the best performances available. Then again, I could be wrong. Want the Time/Life phone number? I'm sure they'd be delighted to get your call. 8) - Jay | |||||
