RE: .0
what's a coincidence ! I was told last night that listening to Mozart's
music can make one wise and I am half the hemisphere away from you.
do you mean K240 only ? or any works from Mozart ?
I want to know which symphony of Mozart is K240. It should be somewhere
between symphony #20 and #30.
Interesting, pretty.

| I looked for the newspaper I read this story in, but couldn't find it,
already recycled.

K240 only. If I remember correctly.

I don't know how the K numbering system correlate to the other (less
popular) numbering system. K (do you remember the name of this guy?)
numbering is fairly simple. It numbers the first symphony Mozart has
written (when he was 6) as K1 and increments by 1 chronologically.

Kershel?

Aren't endorphins natural pain-killers? Wouldn't they only be needed
for heavy metal?

| I think the Mozart-stuff is cataloged as KVxxx, where KV stands for Koechel Verzeichnis.
And the numbering is not that easy, because Mozart sometimes forgot to write the date on
his scores, especially the posthume ones :-)

| I'm no expert on "K" stuff, but I'm positive the Mozart Sonatas for
violin and piano include K302 and K303. No V.

The box set I have contains a number of K. XXX stuff. For example
Eine kleine Nachtmusik (a little night music) is numbered K. 525
and Ein musikalischer Spass (a musical joke) is numbered K. 492.
No V.

No "K" expert either. No nothing expert.

| Maybe the people in the classical notes conference could help?
I searched all the notes there, but the only K240 mentioned
was an AKG K240 headphone. (Note 237.21)
Using these headphones, you "don't hear anything at all that's
annoying". (Does AKG produce glasses, too?) But I can hardly
fit the headphones underneath my baseball cap.... ;^)

| News of Mozart the IQ-booster has eventually reached Norway
(through slower channels than MUSIC notes).
The piece in question is Mozart's Sonata for Two Pianos in D major.
Humming along with it will increase your IQ for about 15 minutes.
Mozart CDs in Sweden will from now on be labeled with a warning:
"Listening to this record may temporarily increase your IQ". ;^)
