| Stephen's latest album was produced (and contained a liner note)
by Phil Collins. Phil, as you may remember, had a hit with
SB's Separate Lives.
Stephen Bishop is just one more of all those good singer/songwriters
there are too many of to really make it big.
The even less known - but great - Leah Kunkel covered some of his songs.
In addition - although that belongs under another topic - he
appeared briefly in Kentucky Fried Movie, didn't he?

I seem to remember him as an innocent bystander in the
Catholic Girls section. Have to check when I get home...

Hey, wasn't he the guy who was hitchhiking and gets picked up by
the bodacious blond in the VW convertible, then after giving him
the eyeball for a few minutes, she pulls over, gets out, and starts
running through the woods taking her clothes off, so he follows her
doing the same, only to emerge from the woods naked confronted by two
highway patrolman standing there with shades on and arms folded and
not smiling one bit?
Wasn't that him?

"Save it for a Rainy Day" was a bigger hit over here than "On and On".
Both were from the 1st album "Careless" which featured Andrew Gold and
Phil Collins. Some fine songs on "Careless", more than on the follow up
"Bish". Bishop also featured on the Phil Collins album "Face Value".

RE: -2
I thought the guy running thru the woods was one of the Zucker boys...
KFM is a classic (although the Kung Fu part was a bit long-winded).
I don't remember Steven Bishop in this movie... I'll have to rent
this one again (although, without chemical stimulus, it may not be
quite the same...)
Still waiting for that flashback,

My another favorite of his is from the soundtrack of Dustin Hoffman's
movie "Toosie" where he sang the title track "It might be you", a song
written by Dave Crusin. This song is tailor-made for Stephen for his
style and vocal range. Another great classic song !
