| I was only able to catch Lulu with Soul Asylum doing "To Sir With Love" ...
great stuff. How was the rest of the show? Has Eddie Vedder recovered
from the MTV music video awards, yet?

| re. .2 Both the Soul Asylum and Pearl Jam shows were great. Lulu
sounded good, her appearance was a plesant surprise. The string
section that Soul Asylum had was a brilliant addition to their show.
Pearl Jam put on a good show as usual. Eddie was having a great time
with the format, he seemed right at home. Quite an enjoyable show. I
think I'llskip the EC show tonight tho.

| I went to high school with Natalie M. My girlfriends and used to go
and watch her at a bar called The Rusty Nail in Jamestown, NY when
10,000 Maniacs were just starting out.

Is she as arrogant in real life as she seems to be in interviews ?

| She was actually pretty o.k. through most of high school. I didn't
know her very well. She had her own little croud and kind of kept to
herself......guess it could have been arrogance after all huh?

498.9 | How bout Buffett? | MSDOA::PWHEELER | Get Yer Ya Yas Out | Fri Oct 29 1993 16:13 | 11 |

I read an interview with Jimmy Buffett recently and he
wondered why they wouldn't let a guy like him or James Taylor
do an unplugged.
Maybe VH1 will let him. I don't know how much MTV thinks
their audience will want to see him or other non chart toppers
like Taylor, etc.

| Isn't "Jimmy Buffett Unplugged" sorta redundant?
Kinda like "Peter, Paul & Mary Unplugged" or "AC/DC electrified".
I mean, he's basically an acoustic-type act anyway right.

| Actually I wanna see PP&M on "Headbanger's Ball". The unplugged
concept is pretty pointless as far as I'm concerned. Just another
stupid marketing gimmick from MTV, and they didn't even think of it
first. Here in Boston the RAT has been doing "unplugged" shows in its
balcony area for years, I played one myself about four years ago.

out for sale on CD?
