what, no mention of the "bb king/buddy guy/eric johnson/alligator
all-stars (with koko taylor, lonnie brooks, and junior wells)
show at great woods.
great show.
koko and all stars led off (i only caught the second half of
their set).
buddy buy rocked the place. oh year, junior came out for
a song or two with buddy. good rockin'.
eric johnson can play some guitar.
and then bb king. what a band. everybody got their
solos and acquitted (sp) themselves well. bb can
play and sing/talk some blues.
then the obligatory jam session with bb and band,
buddy, lonnie, and eric. koko and junior had already left
the area. they traded licks for a while but even with
johnson's blazing fingers, bb trashed em all.
show was pretty much non-stop from 6 to 11.

good show, but I got tired of waiting for them to set up between
acts.
Eric Johnson wasn't bad either, I dug his duel with Buddy Guy.
BB is always cool. 'the thrill' ain't gone yet man!

Yes, I agree with both .0 & .1, Great Show !
My only disappointment was it was only from 6:00 to 11:00
this year.
The last two years I've gone have been from 1:00 (?) to 11:00
with 30 minutes between bands and you could come and go as you
pleased till 6:00.
But from my understanding they haven't attracted a sizable
crowd so the had to short'n the show.

| the new orleans festival or whatever at great woods was
as you described - you could come and go as you pleased,
bring your own cooler of food and drink.
it went from 1;00 to 9;00. i was hoping the alligators
would be similar. as it was we were lucky they moved
the start up from 7 to 6.
i wanted to see more of junior wells as well. too bad
koko and junior didn't stick around for the jam. too bad
they only had 20 minutes to jam cuz of a curfew.
