I wasn't too crazy about "Go for Soda" ... did he do anything
more than that?

| I *** LOVED* "Go for a Soda" but that's the only thing I've ever heard
by him.
Part of it is that I just LOVE the stratocaster sound on that record,
but the tune really gets me too. It had a pretty funny video on MTV
too with this heavyweight teenager constantly endangering a miniature
Kim.

| 'Go For A Soda' is not the best example of his work, but it gives you
an idea of the sound of the band. I recommend getting a hold of his
most recent release "Aural Fixations". His previous release "Rockland"
is also great but doesn't really rock. Other releases:
Akimblo Alogo
Missdemeanor (ep)
Shakin' Like a Human Bean
I am a Wild Party (live)
And check out his previous work with Max Webster (its a band not a
person).
On Aural Fixations everything works, great songwriting, NO
overplaying, great production, great vocals...but if you want to see
him live, I think you'll have to visit us up here. He doesn't seem too
interested in going too far from home. He just plays during the summer
too, does the domestic Mr. Mom scene in the winter..

If he was the guitarist with Max Webster in 1979, I'll vouch for his
earlier work. We used to hear their music a lot when we played clubs in
the Upstate NY/PA/S. Ontario region. I thought they had only one album
out at the time, though.
Anyway, speaking of bands Canadian--what ever happened to
the band 'FM' (Nash the Slash and Cameron Whatzisface) ? I occasionally
hear 'One O'Clock Tomorrow' (mostly on my own stereo) and I still like
the second half of that tune...

A true Canadian would always know that
- Kim Mitchel is a "he"
and
- Joni Mitchel is a "she"
