| Gee, I feel bad having liked the album pretty much just on first
listen. As much as I feel that some of Coverdale's other work has been
crap, he does have a very strong and somewhat versitile voice.
Although, sometimes it seems Page is trying for "a direction he would
have wanted Zeppelin to take had they all hung in", overall, I think
it's a good album.

I can't recall the songs I've heard from the album, however I
rather liked them. I am considering buying the CD, my tastes in
music are varied; in fact I LIKE Kate Bush.

| Why does everyone rag on Coverdale so much? OK, I'm no Whitesnake fan,
but I *liked* his vocals with Purple, and he sounds OK on this thing
with Page to me (although that sort of music aint my cup of tea these
days).
Compared to the Firm, the Outrider LP, etc. this is a step up for Page.
Sure it sounds like Zep, but with Page in the driver's seat and with
Coverdale's penchant for Plantisms and the drummer from Heart (who have
a pronounced Zep fetish) it's no surprise.
Sheesh, this sounds like all the complaints the ex-Beatles got when
they went solo. Maybe JPJ has decided to lay low rather than havbe to
put up with this sort of crap 8^) 8^)

Actually, I was wondering why Coverdale decided to hook up with
a bozo like Jimmy Page.
But I did like the album somewhat ... there are 2 or 3 songs
that stand out after playing it through once. I'll have to
play it again soon.

I think it's got a nice Zeppelin type feel to the music, but then in comes
Coverdale and the Whitesnake sound takes over.........

| Face it...Zep. isn't coming back. This band is the next best thing and
I think thats its great that page is doing worthwhile music again.
(Anyone think Outrider was that fantastic ???) Coverdale has the
credentials and a great voice for that Zep style music.Admit that it
sure beats the H*LL out of Kingdom Come .

| I liked it..........I'm glad that page is back in the studio and
keeping his own guitar style present. There is too much white noise
speed metal. We need some real variety.
