I just bought his CD based on hearing that on 'BCN. I really like it. It's not traditional BB King/Son Seals type blues, but it is blues. He's got the worst voice this side of Neil Young, yet I like it 'cause its deep and raw and scratchy - perfect for the tunes. It's the kind of CD that goes for that BIG sound - high production, clean, and robust. Sort of like, um, Omar and the Howlers or Los Lobos or latter George Thorogood. In fact, Rolling Stone, although admitting to his slide guitar prowess, labelled him a Thorogood clone. I disagree, but the what do you want from a reviewer who thinks "When the Levee Breaks" is a cover of a Led Zeppelin tune ;^). - Sean

I haven't heard the new disk yet but the first one was good! Lots of good blues. Great cover of "Me and The Devil Blues". A real mixed bag of blues styles on the 1st record.... I had a chance to catch him live when he opened for Buddy Guy two years ago at the Palace in Manch, NH. Excellent show so I ran right out and bought the album. bob
