| Was there any mention of other club dates ?? It sounds like this would
be a good candidate for the Paradise in Boston...
The only album I own by Steve is "Please Don't Touch" which I've always
enjoyed, and I'm familiar with "Spectral Mornings" although it's been
years since I've heard that one, and another album whose name escapes
me at this moment. Being still relatively new to the world of CD's I
haven't picked up any of Hackett's solo CD's but should...check them
out, if you enjoyed his show, you'll probably enjoy his older material
as well.
Also check out "Genesis Live" the old single album one. He does a great
solo on "The Knife"

He didn't mention any other dates, but I don't see anyone coming across
the sea just to play Toronto, Ontario. There were some rough edges to
the material, and he was a bit awkward in his between-song chatter.
That tells me this date is early in the tour, and possibly his first.
There was one hilarious moment where he was introducing a song, and in
the middle of Hackett's sentence, the drummer counted the band in.
It was funny to watch the poor guy scrambling to start playing the
opening lead. This is surely an early-in-the-tour scenario.

| His first post-Genesis solo was something called "The Voyage of the
Acolyte". I only heard it once - about 1978.

There's an old Hackett note (1814) including a discography in
KDX200::GUITAR.
His voice always was embarassing. Great player, though.

| In the Noteworthy Music Holiday Issue 1992 catalog I have noticed that there is
a new CD from Steve Hackett listed. It is called Time Lapse (Live, greatest
hits). Has anyone bought this CD, and if so what is on it and how does is
sound? Could this be a result of the preveously mentioned concertes that Steve
was doing earlier this year?

Did you see Steve when he played at the Penguin ?
Before the Penguin show, the last time I saw him it was only him and
his acoustic guitar. A very mild, pleasant show. Thinking that it would
be similar, I went to the Penguin without ear plugs. I was very close
to the stage for the first 10 minutes then I had to move back to the
pool table area ;-) He literally deafened me.
BTW, you will have to sell me that pin one of these years. Either you
sell it or I steal it off your chest when you and I are alone in the
elevator one day ;-)
