163.0. "ZZ Top" by CAMONE::WAY (Son House RULES!) Wed Mar 11 1992 13:12

Okay, I didn't find a topic on ZZ Top, nor did I find a general question
and answer topic, so to suit my purpose I decided to create the ZZ Top
topic.

I was listening to their tune "My Head's In Mississippi" the other
day, and I got to thinking about the verse:

Last night I saw a cowgirl, floatin' 'cross the ceiling.
Last night I saw a naked cowgirl, floatin' 'cross the ceiling,
Mumblin' to some Howlin' Wolf, a song 'bout voodoo healing.

Now, I have a lot of blues albums and a couple of Howlin' Wolf albums,
but after a quick title scan of my CDs I didn't see anything specifically
titled "voodoo healing".

Are there any blues afficionados out there who might know what song
this is in reference to?

Hope so.

Thanks,
frank
