| Not to be confused with "Downtown" Julie Brown.
I really dig "Just Say" Julie Brown. Her EP, "Goddess in Progress" is one
good tune after another, up to the count of five:
Homecoming Queen's Got a Gun
I Like 'Em Big and Stupid
My brother went to Harvard, my sister went to Yale, the
guy I dated last night, just got out of jail
Will I make It Through the 80s?
Sylvia Plath's got nothing on me
'Cause I'm a Blonde
B-L-O-N-D, Don't you wish you were me?
Earth Girls are Easy
the song is better than the version in the movie and in fact
much better than the movie itself.

| I guess there's only room for one Julie Brown, so they decided to go
with the wubba-wubba queen (isn't a wubba what Elmer Fudd wears when
he has safe sex?).

"Vogue" called "Vague" so she is still alive and kickin' but I haven't
seen her on MTV in quite a while.

| A couple times in the last few weeks when I've been flipping thru Mtv,
I've seen "Just say Julie" (One with Sheena Easton as an "evil" maid).
I'm not sure if these shows were reruns or what.

| Way back when we HAD cable, "Just Say Julie" was the only thing on MTV
that we would watch.
She also showed up on an episode of "Quantum Leap" last year. That was
excellent!
Personally, the "other" Julie Brown ("Downtown") can go dig a hole and
jump in it.

Also see this week's issue of Time Magazine(People Section) for a
picture of Julie Brown as a Madonna look-alike from her new video
"Vague"... Gotta love it...

| Re: Quantum Leap
Julie Browns brother writes for the show, so I wouldn't be surprised to
see her starring in another episode. I thought she was a riot, and I
wish I saw her on MTV, but those were my MTV protesting days.
K.C., the episode was 2 years ago. My how time flies.

| I caught just the end of "Just Say Julie" on MTV yesterday (Sunday),
but I don't remember what time it was...some time between 10am and 2pm I'd
guess.
Julie can also be seen in reruns of "Newhart". She played the
recurring role of Buffy Denver.

I just called MTV (212-258-8000) and spoke to some-
one in Viewer Services, to try to get the definitive answer
about "Just Say 'Julie'".
The person I spoke with claimed that the program is
on at 9:30 AM every Sunday. I didn't think to ask, but I as-
sume he meant Eastern time.
I guess I'll just have to wait until this weekend to
see if he really knew what he was talking about. I *hope* so -
Julie's a riot.

Just to confirm the information in my reply .15, Julie
is definitely on MTV every Sunday morning at 9:30AM Eastern
time. Frequently, there's another show at 6:00 PM (usually, but
not always, a rerun of the morning show).
Over the last couple of months, Julie has met the devil
(Satan: "Baby, I *created* MTV... I *AM* MTV!!!" Julie: "That
explains EVERYTHING!"), traveled through time ("Here we are in
1851... Oh, look! - There's Madonna being born!"), and ranked on
Whitesnake ("There's a band that knows a LOT about hair-care
products"). In one of the first episodes I saw, she had a night-
mare about being forced to become Downtown Julie Brown and host-
ing Club MTV ("We go' a lo' o' luvly bums out there today!...
Wubba wubba wubba!").
She's great!
