I'm looking for information about the following two builders in the southern New Hampshire area: 1. Lorden 2. Starter Would appreciate any feedback, anecdotes, etc., whether positive or negative, based on experience readers of this conference may have had with either of these builders. Thanks in advance. I bought my house (in Brookline, NH) from Alan/Louise Lorden. All in all, I have had a pleasent experience dealing with them. The house was already built when I signed the purchase agreement, but still had some work. No negative experience to report. I recommend them. Good luck, Irfan Ugur

If the builder that you are reffering to is Dana Lorden, then stay away. He has had a lot of financial problems lately (note the he is being forclosed on in one of his new houses). Also, the work that I have seen that he recently completed was poor. Check out Standish Way in Amherst. You'll find 2 of his houses there, both in sad shape. Loiuse Lorden is a real-estae agent that I bought my land from. She is nice and very easy to work with. As far as I know, she has nothing to do with new construction.

Alan Lorden is different from Dana. I cann't venture an opinion on his craftsmanship, but I do believe the brothers work on different projects. Bill |
