| Go to any Barnes & Noble and look under hobbies. You should be able
to find books to tell you the approx. worth (book value) based on the
condition. A decent list of coin collectors can be found right in the
phone book under "Coin".
Hope this helps....Ray
BTW - Once you find the approx. worth, you can probably make an entry
into the Classified_Ads conference to try and sell them.

You can also try the antiques and collectibles notesfile here.

| Bear in mind that if you try to sell your coins to a dealer you can
probably expect to be offered roughly half their book value.

| In general you should look for a dealer who is a member of the
Professional Numismatics Guild, PNG. If they are a member they are
allowed to add the PNG symbol in their ads.
I would recommend contacting Bowers and Merena Galleries in Wolfboro, NH,
and tell them what you have. I would recommend consigning them for auction
if any of the coins are worth more than $250. Exspect to pay 10-15 percent
of the realized auction price as a fee.
If you go to local coin dealers make your own inventory and get quotes from
at least 2 dealers.
If you have any pre-1857 cents or half cents I will take a look at them for
you.
