1) I purchased the Celebris (model 821ww) with Windows for Workgroups 
   3.1 already installed. The problem was with the PC locking up. No
   particular rhyme or reason and no discernible pattern. Only recov-
   ery is power off/on. It happened on a frequecny that didn't moti-
   vate me to bring the PC in for service initially.

2) I thought the problem might clear itself when I upgraded to
   Windows 95. It didn't.

3) Talking to one of Digital's service engineers, I was told to
   upgrade the BIOS. I found the BIOS available on Digital's web pages
   (filename BG82304A.EXE). I "phlashed" the PhoenixBIOS Version 4.04.
   Not only did the lock ups continue, but I introduced another error.
   On boot up immediately following the;

	Intel Plug and Play BIOS Extensions V1.21
I get;

	IRQ Allocation Error - Motherboard Function #08
	IO  Allocation Error - Motherboard Function #08

4) I brought the PC into the Service Center in Woburn. They suggested
   that I take the PC home and reload everything (starting with
   Windows 95). I did that, doing a complete install of Windows 95
   etc. instead of an upgrade. This just may have fixed the problem
   of system locking, but I need more time before I will know for sure.
   However the error above still gets posted during boot up.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to clear this up? It
doesn't seem to have much of an impact on my system. It appears as if I
am able to run everything necessary.

Try GIADEV::DECSTATION - there is probably more PC technical expertise
available.
