I have a HiNote CT475 running Windows 95.  I just installed a ISDN line to 
replace my two regular lines, less the installation ($45) cost and the cost of 
the terminal adapter ($300), the cost per month is less then the two regular 
analog lines.  My problem is that I can not get my Windows 95 to see responses 
from the digital modem.  If I use a terminal emulator I can use this modem 
fine, but the Windows 95 "Dial up Networking" stuff fails with the no response 
message.  I can see stuff being sent out and stuff coming back from the 
flasing lights on my Motorola Bitsurfer Pro.  I have worked with my ISP 
(TDSnet) and they have talked be through the set up that works on non Laptop 
Windows 95 systems with no success.  I have not installed the MicroSoft 
patches for the digital modem, because it states that it is only for the 
internal digital modems and mine is an external digital modem.  I think I 
might install it anyway.  But looking for anyone that may have done this.

	I discovered my problem. It was very simple. The BitSurfer did not come with a modem cable, which I did not discover until after I got home. So I rigged up something out of adapters and terminal cables. When I was able to get the AT prompt I went ahead and configured the adapter to support the two analog phone lines. Then I completely forgot about the cable until I was attempting to connect a modem to a DECserver 90M at a customer site and read that the cabling was very important here. I went by Radio Shack and got a 25pin male to 9pin female modem cable, connected it and everything works fine. Norm
