I've a customer with a Celebris GL5120 with a minor, but irritating problem...
Occasionally he wants to do a warm (Ctrl-Alt-Del) restart, but when he does,
the
system hangs when loading the real-mode CDROM driver in CONFIG.SYS.
( It's running DOS 6.2, WIN 3.1 )
A power cycle always clears the problem - If this machine had a reset button,
it
wouldn't be such a problem, but it's kinda goofy to have to cycle power just
to
reboot.
I've tried re-ordering the load sequence of the drivers, etc. - no help. I
moved
the CDROM from the 2nd IDE controller(master) to the Primary IDE(as slave),
also
no help.
One thing that helped was to remove everything from CONFIG.SYS except the CD
driver.
Any ideas appreciated...
Thanx,
Dale

The Celebris Telluride (54-24068-01) E-etch has a reset connector J43.
Only the D-etch doesn't have one.
