The SCU Solution Creation Unit, was formed to provide a control point for
the LMS source code, provide functional first level testing to new code,
and provide support to user sites. The sites would provide hardware support,
operating system support, and trouble shooting diagnostic support according to
Hotline support agreements found in this Notes file. The SCU would be a
central
point to communicate to the third party supplier, by License agreement to
limit
costs to digital, and maintain only one released version of LMS. Sites can
optional choose to extend standard 8 hour warrentee to 24 daily with extended
support from supplier, coordinated by the SCU. Any changes or enhancements to
LMS are always coordinated and accepted by all user sites and the SCU.
