Subj: RE::YEAR 2000 Impact to LMS
We have compiled a LMS impact estimate the impact to the year 2000.
The following are the results of the analysis.
* Impact of date change - Minor; The Impact would be less than three
person weeks worst case. This would be even more significantly
limited by the upgrade to VMS version 6.2 conversion for SAP
interconnect already planned.
* When date change impact would occur. For example, if the application
performs future calculations, would the impact begin to occur in
July, 1997, verses January 1, 2000, etc...
- Area's Impacted:
-Writing Sales Order (OESC) confirm to Maxcim
-Leap year Algorithms
All of these impacts have been provided to George Newton @SHR who is
responsible for collecting the SBU Y2000 issues. If LMS is deamed a upgrade
requirement, it will be modified.
