Hello ...engineering informed me that DECdtm uses event flag number 39. The customer's application uses LIB$GET_EF to get a free event flag. 39 falls to the range of 'initially free' event flags. Is there danger of the application getting flag 39 in spite of it's possibly being used by DECdtm already?. (Is it a prerequisite that all the programs use LIB$GET_EF for the mechanism to work properly?) This is important because the customer has reported a problem that is presumabley caused by (applictation-) RTR - DECdtm - DECnet/OSI - Rdb and we haven't been able to find the culprit yet. Juhani, Sorry for the delay in replying; I was off ill yesterday and the day before! I've checked through DECdtm and can't find anywhere that used EF 39, certainly not in the user's process. Do you have any idea of there the suggestion that it does came from? regards, //alan | |||||
