280.0. "sendto failed:65" by CSC32::PITT () Thu Feb 13 1997 14:23

    Customer saw hundreds of occurances of error message:

    snmpd(pid): Sendto failed:65

    ..until he rebooted his system.

    He is running advfs on this machine (an ASE environment) and he does
    have an SGI network monitor running on the network.

    What does the '65' mean???

    thanks.

can you supply the whole log entry? what line does it occur at?

It's errno 65, EHOSTUNREACH. No route to host.

Guessing at where this could occur, it would appear that snmpd receives
a packet, processes it, then encounters this error when it tries
to send the response.

Did an ASE failover occur before this happened?
What does the routing table look like (netstat -r)?
