Has anyone ever been to the Christa McAuliffe Planetarium? What age kids is it appropriate for? I used to love going to the Hayden Planetarium in New York when I was a kid. Could a 2-year-old get anything out of it?

I don't think a two year old could get anything out of the CMP at all. Unless you consider a 55minute nap worthwhile. ;-) The programs are designed for school kids, my guess is about second or third grade minimum to begin to understand. It is fun and interesting but its way beyond a 2 yr old. Marv | |||||

It's definitely not for a 2 year old. Even for younger school aged kids, if you live near there or you're going to be in the area, fine. But if you don't live near there or you're not going to be in the area, then it's a long way to go for a < 1 hour show. There is nothing else to do there. No museum, nothing. You go into the show then you leave when it's over. The show itself is great, but I would never travel that sistance again JUST for that! Chris D. |
