| I am not sure if this is what you were thinking of, but in
Merrimack, NH, our public library has toys to sign out. All parts are
listed with the item and the librarian would count all parts when you sign
out and then count them when you return them. We can take them out for
up to 2 weeks at a time, just like books. They have toys for all
ages. If any parts are missing, they charge a small fee. Most toys
are either donated or purchased by the library.

| The Manchester, NH Organization of Day Care Providers (ODCP) also has
a toy library. They have many larger toys they lend to licensed Home
day care providers in the Manchester area. My day care provider
belongs to this organization and has different toys every month. I
have seen Water/Sand tables, Kitchen sets, ride-on trains, etc.

1114.4 | Toys ONLY for daycare providers? | TBEARS::JOHNSON | | Tue Sep 03 1991 17:15 | 10 |
| Dan are you SURE that they are only available to daycare
providers? I could have sworn that a Mom I met at my
son's storytime said that she signed toys out regularly.
I know that she isn't a daycare provider. This is at
the Milford Ma. public library.
The Videos are available for anyone to sign out, I'm
sure about that.
