I sure know I am going to miss you Cherie! Don't know how I made it
through some of these days without you!
Maybe with us keeping in touch off line as we already talked about, I

Good luck and keep us posted....I'll be among the numbers looking for
that all important Birth Announcement note!
Haul out a bunch of good books, magazines, try not to drive yourself
crazy with all the remaining time on your hands. Enjoy the changing
seasons as summer blends into fall!

Might as well steal Cherie's note instead of creating a new note
just for me.
This Friday is also my last day before I go out on leave for the
baby. I've been real busy this week (trying to tie up loose ends here
at work, attending night classes, doing homework assignments, trying to
get enough sleep,....) and haven't really had a chance to keep up in
PARENTING. I wanted to put this in while I had a chance. (I've also
developed carpal tunnel and typing is rapidly on the way out, one more
joy of being pregnant!).
I want to thank all of you who have so freely offered me good
wishes and support while I tried to adjust to this pregnancy thing,
from irritating (polite term) relatives, to being prepared for bringing
the baby home, to just about everything. (just be prepared for more
notes while I try to adjust to this parenting thing!).
Marc (who is also a DECie) will let you people know how things
turned out.
Thanks again for everything.

Well, I guess its my turn to steal Cherie and Wendys note of Good-bye,
to bid my farewells. Friday will be my last day of work, as I too am
leaving earlier than expected due to back pain/problems. I wanted to
make sure I got this note in before getting caught up in tying up all
the loose ends during this week.
I'd like to thank everyone for all their support and answers to all of
my (sometimes stupid) questions throughout this pregnancy. This file
has been undenyably (sp?) one of the best sources of information I've
had, and a definte help on the emotional side of things. Realising
youre "not alone" makes a world of difference!
I may try to get a terminal at home, sometimes soon...but if not I'll
probably not be back till the 1st of the year. Hope you all have a
wonderful holiday season!!! I know I hope to! My husband and I just
bought our house last Dec 14th, so we didn't have much of an xmas last
year living out of boxes at the time, no tree, etc. So I am hoping to
have a GREAT Christmas sesaon this year! (and the new arrival will
make it EXTRA special).

problems but at the same time I'm glad you get the extra time at home.

I can't wait to read about your new arrival. I am curious to see how
close our dates will be.

Craig Peter Dery made his arrival a week early, on Sunday 9/22!!! I
was blessed with an incredibly short labor.....my water broke at 5am
Sunday but I hadn't felt any contractions so I called my midwife.
She told me to call back at 11am, or when I started having contractions
that were 5-7 mins apart. After talking with her, I had 3 or 4 really
hard contractions, but they were anywhere from 7 to 18 minutes apart.
I noticed some bleeding, so I called my midwife back and she sent me
to the hospital to find out what was happening. Got to the hospital
around 8am, had an internal exam, and was *shocked* to find out that
I was 10cm dilated!! :^) I was able to wait til my midwife got to
the hospital to start pushing, pushed for an hour (wow-the hardest
work I've ever done) and Craig was born at 9:42am!!!
Just w�nted to share my good news!!!
