| I am also a working Mom, my daughter is 7 months old and the only first
I missed was her saying, Da Da. I don't feel guilty either, because she
is accomplishing so much at this stage that there's always something
new and I always seem to be there when it happens. One thing i don't
think I'll ever miss seeing is her teeth come in, as of yesterday she
has cut 7 teeth!! Every time I turn around there's a new tooth.
Unbelievable!

It's never really bothered me to miss the firsts either (except when
someone rubs it in). I'm always just as excited the first time *I*
witness the particular milestone.

Re .0
My 8-week old daughter turned over for the first time and I missed it. My wife
called me to tell me all about it. Now at 9 weeks, she does it at will.
Does this sound a bit young to be turning from front to back?

| Liz, just a quick hello and congratulations! I got back from leave
yesterday (the 3rd) and was able to track down your note on Rachel's
birth (hidden in the induction note!). She was born 2 days before my
*son* Mark and weighed 1 oz more than he did (9lbs., 5 oz.)!!
So much for our plans of having children of both sexes!!!!!
Congrats,
Sandy

This is going to sound funny but........
My daycare was the first one to give my son cheerios. I was looking
forward to giving him them for a long time. When she told me, I was
very sad.
I still love giving them to him now so no long term affects on my
part I guess.
