773.1 | Gymboree, Nashua, NH | PROSE::BLACHEK | | Sat Mar 16 1991 22:45 | 45 |
| Gina is now attending her third session of Gymboree. While I was
skeptical about the idea of taking a baby to an play class at first, I
have found it worthwhile. (But how Yuppie, ya know??)
I like the classes for the following reasons:
1. There are a lot of exercise equipment that we (and her sitter) would
never have. I'm sure that day care centers have this type of stuff,
but we sure don't. (Slides, tunnels, jungle gyms, rocking horses, and
lots of other stuff.)
2. It's a good opportunity for me to get together with parents who
have children the same age as Gina. I don't get this except in this
notes file, and it's nice to have physical contact too!
I do not have any financial relationship with the owner of this
business. I'm just a satisfied customer.
The clases are held at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 214 Main
Street, in Nashua.
That said, here's the schedule:

| I've heard that the YMCA in Nashua, NH has some good classes for mother
& child. I don't believe it's very expensive either.

The pamphlet I have has not been updated with the 508 area code, so

Sorry about that, but I don't know the border for the area codes.

| re .5...the dividing point on the area codes is route 128, roughly
Beverly to the cape east is 617, the rest up to the 413 area code is
508.
I have a 4 year old, and have been told of a gymnastics place in
Leister, which may be part of a chain as well. I'd like details on
this place, such as price, reliability, and if this is appropritate to
a 4 year old.

773.8 | GYMBOREE? | TRACTR::MAZUR | | Tue Jun 04 1991 13:53 | 11 |
| Has anyone ever heard of Gymboree? I guess there are classes
held all over the country, but I have just recently heard of
it here in Merrimack, NH.
Has anyone taken their children to Gymboree. If so, how old
were your kids and what did you think?
Thanks in advance,
Sheryl

773.9 | Sounds like "my" idea of fun! | CALS::JENSEN | | Tue Jun 04 1991 14:18 | 13 |

Funny you should ask ...
Our neighbor "used to" work at DG. Her boss enrolled herself/(very young)child
in a gymboree class (which I thought would be "neat" thing to do, too) ...
my neighbor thought this was the utmost of totally ridiculous things!! ...
HOWEVER, her boss thought it was the best thing since sliced bread!!
So it's all in what you perceive to be "fun" and "enjoyable".

773.7 | An update.. | PROSE::BLACHEK | | Tue Jun 04 1991 14:28 | 10 |
| Gina is now showing me how much she likes Gymboree. She goes from one
apparatus to another and gets mad when she has to leave something to
share it with another child.
It's even more fun now that she can show me she is having fun.
The Nashua area classes close down for the summer and will start up
again after Labor Day.
