| 532.4 | Job-Share Available--Communications Manager | MR4DEC::POLAKOFF | Mon Feb 18 1991 14:25 | 33 | |
I am looking for a qualified person to job-share a new opportunity I've
just been offered. The job is with ESG MARCOM (MRO4--Marlboro) and the
title is "Customer Collaterial/Reference Program Manager." I will post
the job description following this message.
This is a REAL job--and will be posted in the JOBS book as of next
week. I have been working with ESG MARCOM for the past 5 years--and it
is a very good group to work in. I will be doing the initial
interviewing for the job--we need to make sure we'd make a good "team"
before going any further in the interviewing process. You will then
need to meet with the group as a whole, and the manager as well.
This is a terrific opportunity for someone who wants to work part-time
and who meets the job requirements (must have EXCELLENT communications
skills and MARCOM or Marketing experience).
You would be required to work full-time initially (with some
flexibility) as I will be leaving on my maternity leave the beginning
of April. You could then cut back to part-time when I return--right
after Labor Day. I would be willing to do the same for you--when and
if you need it.
If you're interested, contact me directly at DTN 297-7628, or online.
I am in the office on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Job Description follows. If you know of anyone who might be
interested, feel free to pass this on...
Bonnie

| 532.9 | Sec'y job share possibility | FENNEL::MATTIA | Thu May 09 1991 09:57 | 21 | |
I am currently an R20 working M-F 8:30-12:30. I am entering this note
to see if anyone is interested in job sharing by working 1-5.
I am working in an Engineering group at TTB (Nashua) as a Sec'y. I
have been working here in a P/T capacity for 2yrs. Soon, the job will
require a Sec'y for 40 hrs because of increased responsibility. They
would like me to change to an R40 or at least R30. I did not take the
job with that in mind so soon. I wasn't interested in working more
hours for a couple more years yet (my kids are 1 & 4).
So, I would like to know if anyone out there is interested in this. I
ran it past my boss as an option and he seemed receptive to the idea
especially since now I only count as 1/2 in the headcount. If I get
some interested parties, I will write a proposal.
I am also going to post this in the P/T notes file.
Please respond to me via mail at FENNEL::MATTIA.
Regards,
Donna

It's too bad that TTB is so far from where I live, on the CT line! but
that's not the point of this.
Would you please post the node for the Part-time Notes. I keep trying
to update it and get error messages. I must have an obsolete node.
I'll keep my ears open in my area for anyone looking for a change...
Thanks!

| 532.11 | Where has the P/T notes file gone??? | FENNEL::MATTIA | Tue May 14 1991 11:34 | 9 | |
Lyn,
The part-time notes file seems to have dissappeared!! I haven't been
able to get into the file to post my note. I saw that someone else
questioned it in easynet, but nobody responded with a reason. It is
unfortunate, because I would like to let folks specifically in the part
time world know about this opportunity.

| 532.12 | WANTED: 10 HR JOB SHARE | WMOIS::DWYER_L | Fri Nov 15 1991 12:48 | 18 | |
I have an opportunity which is perfect for a new parent out with a
child who want to come back to work part time for 10 hours per week.
I would like to job share with someone so that I work 30 hours and
they work 10 for the next year. After that I may want to drop down
to 20/20. The job is in westminster, ma (WMO) in the software
reference information systems group, which is a sub group of IM
for the software supply business. THis is a great place to be...
we hired 13 people over the past 6 months. no layoffs here. We
develop software products to support the software supply business.
Use leading technologies, rdb, c, decforms, pams, 6 sigma techniques,
life cycle development. Its a great group and Hugh McGinness, the
manager is a great boss. The time would have to be flexible around
my schedule. I have started a new business outside of dec and need
time to pursue it with the blessing of my boss if I can find someone
to fill in the 10 hours. If anyone's interested, let's talk asap.
Lauren at 241-3120 or wmois::dwyer_L .
