Has anyone had any experience with ITP? (immuno - something -
something...mumble). My nephew who just turned 4 was diagnosed
with it. From what I gather its a disorder where the persons own
antibodies attack their own platelets. I guess its "common" in
2-6 year olds and most times it occurs only once or twice and then
never returns, but a small percentage can be chronic.
Anyone out there have any first hand information and/or experience
and can fill us in?

The daughter of someone I work with has this or a similar problem. He is on vacation. I'll check with him when he gets back. Eileen | |||||
