| There is a store at the Woburn Mall called Toys Etc. They have a little
glow in the dark room with all kinds of things to stick on the ceiling or
hang from it. There is stars and constellations and also some creepy bugs
and skulls and things of that nature that my son loves.

| The Whiz in Westboro has them, too. I've also seen them in a few
different Nature Company stores. You can get a variety of star sizes,
or packages with one type. They stick on the wall/ceiling with
something that's supposed to come right off. I haven't done much
investigating, except that I did buy them for my daughter's stocking
at Christmas on a whim -- now we have to redecorate the whole room
to match!

| I bought some from the Nature Store. Unfortunately, they didn't stick
on very well.

We bought the heavier plastic starts that come with a
sticky sort of putty that attatches them. I would say stay
away from these as the putty sticks great to the cieling but
not the plastic stars. End result is I now have little blobs
of dough on my sons cielng and less stars. I would try the
peel and stick kind or use some other method of stick-um.
PS It does look nice after the lights go out.

1266.5 | Ceiling stars | NETRIX::"[email protected]@exchange" | Gael Dussault | Thu Mar 27 1997 10:22 | 11 |
| Thank you all for responding. It appears that the stars I saw
had been up there for years. Perhaps the Woburn Mall looks like a
place where I can actually see the various choices - but it would
be nice to find someplace closer to home. Would still appreciate
input from other folks - thank you very much.

1266.7 | we have silver sprinkles in our room too | NAC::WALTER | | Thu Mar 27 1997 10:52 | 9 |

I don't have stars on the ceilings but when we bought our home two
years ago we noticed after moving in that they had those silver
sprinkles on the ceilings of two of the bedrooms. At the time I
thought it was a bit weird but my son loves them and thinks that they
are the kings of the past looking down at him. Shades of too many
Disney movies...

1266.10 | If they fall... | SAPPHO::DUBOIS | Hailstorm Project Leader | Thu Mar 27 1997 15:03 | 6 |
| I would be careful in putting them up in a baby's room. My children have
some in their room. They are heavy (so maybe there are better kinds) and
they occasionally fall off. You wouldn't want one to fall off in the
baby's crib and have the baby choke on it.

1266.11 | Try Walmart!? | PASTA::UMBRELLO | | Thu Mar 27 1997 15:22 | 13 |
| We have them up in our sons room - we also painted the ceiling a
deep blue to match the color of the sky. It came out great - my
husband did the actual job! We had heard that these stars and
planets occasionally fall off so we glued them. They've been up for
about a year now and not one has fallen off. I saw them at Spencer
Gifts which is in the Searstown Mall in Leominster, but I think I
ended up getting them at Walmart for alot cheaper. Around $3.00
a package and I think they were around $6.00 for the same size at
Spencer Gifts.
Enjoy!

| Congratualations on the adoption.
I have adopted two children from Eastern Europe.
Don't worry too much about her not having enough to
look at. Everything will be so new to her. Sunlight
may be a new experience...a window, a car ride, a bird,
a flower. You will discover wonder in everything if you
look through her eyes. And beign held for a feeding and
rocked in your arms will be her best stimulation.
Good luck.
