1183.0. "need support group referral" by POWDML::DSPENCER () Thu Sep 05 1996 14:18

    A friend is looking for a teen support group for her daughter, whose
    father has a terminal illness. They live in the Pepperell, MA, area.
    Can anyone recommend such a group?

    Thx.

    I don't know of any specifically, but would suggest contacting local
    hospitals as they sometimes sponser groups such as these.

    been through this - check with husband's hospital for referel to hospice
    groups. I believe that Nashoba has a good one still.

    There is an excellant one from Visiting Nurses out of Manchester, but
    that may be too far to go. Also the hospice groups will usually be able
    to give you name of councelor for child.

    Don't forget to check with your church or any church of your
    denimination. Most pastoral services can also refer.

    Best of luck - Sarah
