1042.0. "Looking of words to "Sunday's child is..."" by PERFOM::ONEILL () Tue Oct 31 1995 14:50

    Hello,

I'm looking for the words to the "poem" that goes something
    like--

    ...
    Sunday's child is full of...
    Monday's child is full of...
    Tuesday's child is full of...
    ...

    Thank you.

Monday's child is fair of face
Tuesday's child is full of grace
Wednesday's child is full of woe
Thursday's child has far to go
Friday's child is loving and giving
Saturday's child works hard for a living
But a child who is born on the Sabbath Day
Is {fair and wise?} and good and gay.

    {fair & wise} = "bonny & blythe" when I learned it

but I've also heard it as "Fair and Wise"

based on our birthdays it certainly rings true for my sister and
    myself.

I'm over-committed [Saturday] and she can't stay out of trouble
    [Wednesday]

Thanks Annie, I like "bonny and blythe." (Kinda sounds like a renegade
pair performing random acts of kindness and senseless beauty!)
