863.0. "Kiss and make it all better!" by ICS::WALKER () Mon Dec 12 1994 10:35

We're moving New Years weekend, and between working, fixing dinner, the
usual household chores, sorting and packing up 7 1/2 yrs accumulation,
shop for Christmas, decorate the house a little, try to stay festive,
give the baby baths, read/play with him, ironing, I have often come
close (too close) to losing it.

Last night, I was cleaning out the fridge, and dropped a huge bowl of
something on the clean rug, and I shrieked and burst into tears - I had
HAD IT! Cody, my 20 month old, rushed in, saw the mess, patted his chect
and said "hep MaMa" he kissed my hand and said "Be K".

I don't believe that a translation should be necessary. Needless to
say, I cried somemore, hugged him, and told him that he is my big boy,
    my hero.

    God bless the little ones!

That even brought tears to my eyes! I've had days like that, and when
the little angels try to comfort you, you cry even more because they
are so sweet! The other day I was having a bad day where everything
was going wrong, and I sat down on the floor in the dining room (the
kids were in the other room) and just started crying. My oldest (4)
heard me and came into the room. He didn;t say a word but came up to
be and crawled into my lap, laid his head on my chest, and just hugged
me as hard as he could! After awhile he said "It makes me sad to see
you cry, Mommy" - what a SWEETIE!!!

I was laying on the couch on Saturday, and Emily came over
and said, "Does your tummy hurt, Mommy?" I told her yes,
and she lifted my shirt and kissed my belly. She stepped
back, smiled and asked, "All better?"

and for a little while, it was...
