796.0. "Manufactures "Baby Clubs"" by JULIET::CARLSON_CH () Wed Aug 03 1994 13:52

    Does anyone know how I can get enrolled in some of the "Baby Clubs"
    that the different formula/diaper manufacturers sponser. Apparently,
    this is a great way to receive special offers and coupons for
    purchases.

    I'm especially interested in one from Ross Laboratories for their
    Similac baby formula and Huggies Diapers.

    Thanks,

Boy, I thought people only asked how to getg off these, not on them ;-). I
signed up for American Baby (free to expectant parents) using my wife's name,
but with a slight modification so I'd know which junk mail resulted from this
free subscription. We still get things almost daily from just that one
subscription and the "baby" is 14 months old (not to mention that our 6 free
issues are still coming - every one with a note: "This is your last
complimentary issue" ;-) ).

Fortunately, much of the "junk" mail has included valuable coupons and some
great catalogues.

	I'm getting these too! I don't even LIKE the magazine.

RE: those mailing lists.... I got on the lists I'm on by filling out a
couple of cards at the doctors office (ob/gyn). I also got some freebies
at the hospital when Lauren was delivered and at her first doctors
appointment.

796.4call the company directlyPOCUS::CUFFWed Aug 03 1994 15:488
    Call the 1-800 phone number of the appropriate formula/diaper
    company, ask. If you see a coupon with a place for name/address fill
    it in. I actually got on the Pampers/Luvs list after calling in to
    complain about a defective package of Pampers; called Ross when I had a
    problem preparing powdered Prosobee; was asked if I'd be interested
    in their mailing list including coupons.

    Good luck!
