I know in New Hampshire you can call the Parent Information Center
(PIC) in Concord @ (603)224-7005. In the Southern New Hampshire Area
you can call the Area Agency @ (603)882-6333. Perhaps if you're not in
New Hampshire either number could direct you.

PIC also offers class in becoming an Educational Advocate for your
    child.

Also you may want to try calling the Family Works 800 number for
educational assistance @ 800-635-0606. They have specialist who can
answer some questions and possible direct you to agencies that offer
assistance. I found themn to be more than helpful, but had difficulty
in connect with the right person, since her schedule varies.

There are also several parent organized groups that offer some
    assistance and moral support.

I would like to caution you that some advocates make a real good living
from their services. There are a lot of 'free' advocates that fight
for childrens rights, you just got to look for them.

Can you tell I've been through it/going through it. You can contact me
off-line if you would like to discuss it further.

    Good luck....
