My friend and I who are both expecting. Had a conversation on the topic of eating certain types of fresh fish. We were reading in the " What to Expect ....." book. And she remembers reading about not eating certain kind of fish because of the mercury content. Can anyone out there give more insight. Thanks

I am currently in my 5th month and remember my Doctor telling me when I first found out I was pregnant that I should avoid swordfish, salmon and bluefish. She said it was because of the high PCB levels in these types of fishes. Hope this helps, Dona | |||||

If you have friends who fish and tend to offer you some their catch occasionally, do not accept *anything* from the Concord or Sudbury Rivers, Walden Pond, or any body of water in Middlesex County. (There are some that provide safe fish, but eating the fish resembles having your child play russian roulette by proxy. John H-C |
