447.0. "Thomas the Tank Engine" by SEIC::MAZZUCOTELLI () Thu Feb 11 1993 14:03

    Has anyone heard something about Thomas the Tank Engine coming to the
    Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua, NH? My husband said he heard something
    and he thought it was around the end of February but he had no other
    details.

    If anyone has any more information, I would appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance.

447.1Feb 28, March 1?VERGA::STEWARTCaryn....Perspective is Everything!Thu Feb 11 1993 14:348
I think I was told it was to be Sunday the 28th of Feb and Monday March 1,
but I can't swear to it (sounds odd, Sunday/Monday).

I'll check with the person who told me, and if it's different from above,
I'll post it here.

447.4Seems to not be advertisedCSTEAM::WRIGHTFri Feb 12 1993 12:1913
    I was at the information booth at Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua the
    other day, getting a stroller for my 2 year old to ride in, when
    I overheard another woman with young kids asking for tickets to
    "the 3:00 show". And I did something that I never would have done
    before I had a child! I just came right out and asked her, "What
    for?" I felt so nosy, but somehow when I want something for my
    child, all my usual inhibitions go away! Anyway, the information
    booth person told me they were giving away tickets to Thomas the
    Tank Engine there on 2/24 and 2/25, but it wasn't really being
    advertised. I was glad they weren't advertising and they were
    using tickets because I've heard that past Thomas shows at other
    malls have been absolute mob scenes.

    I didn't realize they are giving tickets out already. I assumed that
    it was the day of the show or closer to the actual date. I guess I
    better get over there and pick up my tickets!

447.6It's advertised....NASZKO::DISMUKEWANTED: New Personal NameMon Feb 15 1993 12:159
    I heard an advertisement on the radio for this today. They are giving
    away tickets and ticket holders will be set apart from the general
    public - but all are welcome!

    (Guess you better get a ticket!)

447.7ALSO AT ROCKINGHAM!USCTR1::NMULLINAXWed Feb 17 1993 08:434
    Thomas is also going to be at the Rockingham Park Mall. I believe it
    is this weekend that he is going to be there (Feb 20 & 21).

447.8not the pleasant experience we expectedGLITTR::WARRENFri Feb 19 1993 11:1310
    We went to the Liberty Tree Mall to see Thomas last year. We did not
    have tickets to sit within the roped-off area (we only got there one
    hour early!) and
    we weren't allowed to stand still anywhere else during the show. The
    mall was wall-to-wall people (most of them under three feet tall).
    Maybe it's better with a ticket or in a larger mall, but be
    forewarned--it won't be a stress-free event!

447.9is he coming to MA??SALES::LTRIPPMon Feb 22 1993 14:296
    Does anyone know if the Thomas the Tank show is coming anywhere "south
    of the border" that is anywhere in MA, preferable Central MA? Sounds
    like a good take, but I can't see me hauling off to NH, let alone twice
    in a snow filled week, once for tickets and once for the crowd scene?

447.10Thomas Fan Club??WKEND::MACARTHURThu Jun 24 1993 14:4315
    I did a dir/title, and the only topic I could find on Thomas the Tank
    Engine was about his appearance here in New England, so I'm writing
    this topic. Mods - please feel free to move it if you need to.

    Does anyone know where to write to join the Thomas fan club? I was
    talking to a mother at Burger King and she said that there was a post
    card in one of the tapes she bought. We have all of the tapes, but
    never saw a post card. I guess once a month the kids get a letter from
    Sir Topham Hat with some Thomas stickers, or other small item. I just
    know that Derek would love to belong to this!

    Can anyone out there help me out?

    Thanks!
