This note is for the purpose of announcing the availability of your
minor children (18 years old or younger) for occasional babysitting.

"Babysitting" is defined as occasional child care when the
parents go out for an evening, or the like.  This note is not
intended for child care (taking care of children so the parents
can work).  Please include the following information:

     Your name
     Your child's name
     The contact phone number, preferably your home phone number
     Your child's age
     The geographic area your child will babysit in
     Any special training your child has had
          (such training conducted by Scouts/Campfire, 
	  police departments, schools etc.)
     Any limitations
          (such as no school nights, not later than midnight
          etc.)
     
Please give your city and state (or country, as is applicable) in the title 
of your note.  This will highlight the information so as to make searches
quicker for parents in need.

My daughter Alicia, who is 18 years old, is available for babysitting.  We
live in Merrimack, NH.  Our phone number is 603-424-5105.

I'm not sure what to say about geographic area.  It would probably be best to
speak directly to her.

Special training?  Well, nothing formal, but we do have two other children
who are pre-school age, so she is definitely experienced.  She has babysat
for children as young as newborn, both for me and for other parents.

Her limitations would be around her regular job, and the classes that she
takes.  Again, it would be best to discuss this with her.

    Special Training:  Oldest of 5 children. Sara regularly baby sits for
    her 3 youngest siblings. (6 months, 4, 5).

Training:	school health/cpr courses, just completed St. Joseph's hospital
		"Super Sitters" course.

Experience:	Has been sitting for her 10-year old brother after school all
		year; frequently sits for young cousins (mostly with parents
		or her mom nearby).  She REALLY enjoys little kids.
 
Limitations:	You'll have to discuss those with her mom; I'm just the
		wicked old stepdad :-)  We don't have any experience with her
		sitting on school nights; it's hard enough to get her to do
		her homework when she's home; we'll have to see.  Until she has
		some more experience, we'd prefer that she sits where one of
		us can help out in an emergency.

	If this is not the correct place to post such a note, could someone
please point me to the conference(s) it would best fit in? Please don't scold
me, this is the first time I've to deal with such a request and I haven't the
slightest idea about where this really belongs.

	I'm posting this note on behalf of the daughter of friends of my
brother. She's from the area known as Perigord in the SouthWest part of France,
lives in the country and will be in Montreal (Canada) from July 9th to July 17th
as part of a group that will participate in some fair or commercial event,
promoting duck products from her region (mainly fat liver: Perigord is, among
many other interests, the main fat liver production area in France).

	Where I became involved is because she asked my brother if he could help
her find a place for after the promotion tour. She'll be free from July 17th
onward and would be interested in spending about a month as an "au pair" girl in
a family, preferably in the NorthEastern US.

	She'll soon be 19 year old, is a student, and has been learning English
for the past 8 years. She has already worked "au pair" in Germany, taking care
of three girls (two of them 4 year old and one 8 year old). Interesting detail:
she can do French cooking...

	If anybody is interested, or knows where this request would have better
chances to get an answer, please answer this note or send me mail (preferably
