I thought that we could add another fun note. How about entries for behavior/ development milestones that has ceased. Sometimes I get caught up with looking for whats coming and sometimes I forget to acknowledge what has ceased. Let me start: My four year old son has finally stopped sucking his fingers. He sucked his index and middle fingers together quite a lot and then all of a sudden, I have noticed that I don't see him do it anymore and the callouses have just about gone away. I did notice him sucking while falling asleep last night but it is definitely something that is all but put away! Hooray!

I've noticed, with both my 12 year old and my 9 year old, that "Daddy" and "Mommy" are no more; it's "Dad" and "Mom." I'm not conscious of when it happened, and I doubt that it was conscious on their part either; at least we never openly discussed it. Clay (don't call me daddy) | |||||

We recently noticed with Brittani (5 1/2) that Grandma and Grandpa Frisella are now identified as "dad's mom" or "dad's dad". She has figured out the relationship with sisters and such and has begun to identify them by relationship rather than by names. But, it was cute the first time she yelled out, "mom, your dad is on the phone!" They grow up tooooo fast! Lisa |
