I need some help. I want to have a Tea Party with Emily who is 3.5 yrs old and some of her friends. Problem is, it's been too many years since my days of tea's. I don't want go as far as wearing white gloves (am I dating myself here?) but I would like to have small fancy sandwiches or juices... Is there some quide books for children's games, party ideas etc? Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks Marie

Marie I just managed to survive my daughter's 3rd birthday party on Saturday! The kids (6 of them) were great fun and we played the games that I used to play at parties when I was a kid: Pass the Parcel; Pin the Tail on the Donkey; Musical Chairs/Statues/Bumps. The food can be as plain or fancy as you like - the children will still eat it like there's no tomorrow! My wife even made a "Hickory, Dickory, Dock" clock cake - the design for which was given to us by a friend. We have a book at home which gives details of fancy party foods. If you like and depending on when and where this party is going to be (I'm in the UK) I could copy some ideas and send them to you. Dave |
