I just called and got the details.
Under the Weather:
Nashoba Valley Hospital, 200 Groton Rd., Ayer MA
(508|) 772-0200 ext. 330 (pediatrics)
Cost is $3.50 per hour
Parent supplies clothing, diapers, food, special toys, medicine.
They supply wipes, tv, vcr, tapes, bedding, wipes, beverages,
ice cream.
They will take children with the flu. The only restriction on
contagion she mentioned is strep: must be on antibiotics 24 hours
and have permission of your pediatrician.
Pre-register by filling out a short form and providing a copy of the
child's immunization record.
Call the night before to see if they can accomodate your child. Verify
after 7 a.m. when the day nurse comes on duty.

| Laura,
I believe the sign for the Little Frogs and Polliwogs (something like
that) day care center a little bit south of Manchester airport on
Brown Ave. says that they do sick-day care. They ought to be in
the phone book.

| HCA in Plano TX has a sick daycare.
It is for children whose physicians are affiliated with that hospital,
and you have to be registered (with proof of current immunizations)
first.
The cost is $25/day ($35 for two kids) including breakfast, lunch,
toys, videos, etc... You bring the medicine and diapers. There is a
1-1 ratio of RN to sick child.
It is helpful to call ahead for reservations as they are often full,
and won't take certain combinations of illness (they take pink eye, but
only if they have only one child, for example).
