Do any of you out there know how I can get in touch with a Tough Love group in the Southern, NH area? They are the people who get together to teach parents of children in all kinds of trouble that being tough and standing their ground is the best way to help their kids. Unfortunately I have a friend in great need of such a support group. Any pointers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Nancy DTN 223-2621

In the Nashua phone book I see a listing for "A DRUG ABUSE NATIONAL PROGRAM INFORMATION RESOURCES & HOSPITAL REFERRALS OF DRUG ABUSE HELPLINE" 800-448-8888 Hopefully they can be of some service. There are also local treatment centers which might have some information for you. LakeShore Hospital - 800-322-3312 Brookside Hospital - 603-886-5000 -sandy

Folks, This is my first reply to a notes conference, but the topic of TOUGHLOVE is very important to me. My wife and I have been members of this program for the last eight years, we are both state representatives as well as certified trainers in TOUGHLOVE. I cannot say enough about this program and if anyone wants to hear more, please feel free to call (during lunch please). If you simply want to know where your closest TOUGHLOVE group meets, you can call the 800 number at the service center in Pennsylvania "800-333-1069". It is a recognized non-profit organization by Digital and is qualified under the matching gift program. By the way, it is TOUGH on parents because we love our kids and we sometimes have to make changes in how we act, because we know that we cannot change our kids. Also, we do not consider the word "kids" as a derogatory term. Phil Dudziak dtn 381-0282
