	I was hoping to get some information about Lowell General Hospitol.
My wife and I are moving, and we need to join a HCHP office in the
Westford/Chelmsford/Acton Area. Our Hospitol choices seem to be Lowell or
Emerson based on the HCHP offices that we can join. 

	We like the facilitys provided by the Chelmsford HCHP office 
more than the Acton Medical, but we don't know anything about Lowell General.

    Are there any recommendations for pediatricians in the Manchester, NH
    area that take the BCBS HMO?  My daughter is looking for somebody for
    her year old and five year old son.  The doctor she has now has been
    very difficult to get through to.  Not sure if it the staff or the
    doctor.  However - the situation is such that we need some

    Hi, I hope someone can help me.  I need recommendations for two types of 
    doctors in the Greater Boston area.
    
    I'm looking for a pediatric ophthalmologist to do a baseline eye
    exam and an audiologist to do a baseline hearing exam for my daughters.  
    I would prefer that the doctor be associated with a large teaching 
    hospital like Children's Hospital in Boston.  I'm very interested in 
    your experiences both good and bad.
    
    If you are really pleased with your doctor, even if she/he isn't in
    Boston, please let me know.  I'm not familar with many hospitals
    outside of Boston -- but I've heard some really good things about UMass
    Medical Center in Worcester.

	I've been a read-only noter, but my time has come for an entry.
I want to  "thank you" because your notes have been comforting and helpful
to me. And I also want to give you an update on my status and give some
hope for others.

	I'm over 40 and am now pregnant with twins. I'm six weeks along,
but all was confirmed yesterday by ultrasound. We could see two heartbeats!
I'm so excited, but I know that I have a long road ahead of me. I walk
on eggshells. But I still can't believe it finally happened!

	I have gone through all the infertility test, 2 IUIs, 1 IVF, and
1 super successful GIFT.

	Now I need an OB recommendation in the Emerson Hospital, Concord, MA
area. These are the following names I've been given: Hendelman, Kelinsen,
Lesneski, Lea & Leavenworth, Hekman. My husband and I are not announcing
our good news yet, since its so early. So I have no one to ask about a
recomemndation.

    I'm looking for reccomendations for pediatricians in the greater

    I have a daughter who is almost 4 and a son who is 18 months.
    
    I am considering switching practices because our current practice has
    far too many patients and seems really stretched.  The two
    pediatricians look exhausted and I'm sure they are.  While nothing
    serious has happended yet I can see the potential for things to fall 
    thru to cracks.  I am starting to hear stories from various neighbors
    and people around town which confirm my fear.
    
    Our insurance is accepted by almost everyone so that is not an issue.

    	I'm looking to change my HMO. I'm from the Western part of the state
    and am looking at moving my family to central mass. Mainly the Auburn
    area but I don't mind driving to say take Fallon under the UMass plan.
    My main concern is getting a good ped. for my 2 year old, referrals for
    any primary care providers would also be very welcome. Any and all

    I'm looking for a new dentist in the Concord/Acton/Chelmsford/Bedford,
    MA area. My husband and I think our present dentist, while a decent
    dentist, is very expensive. He is in Concord, MA and charges $700 for a 
    crown.  Granted Digital reimburses for some of this but it still leaves
    quite a bit to pay out of pocket. I'm about ready for my first crown and 
    thought this might be a good time to switch.
    
    Any recommendations for a great and reasonably priced (if there is such
    a thing) dentist in these geographical areas will be appreciated.

    I had significant dental work done over the last few years. I
    researched the "better" dentists in East Mass and I would say that they
    were all in the $700 region for a crown.  Several were cheaper, but
    when I checked with my periodontist (oral surgeon) he did have strong
    recomemndations.
    
    However, it is worth looking around.

    I checked around in the grater maynard area -- my dentist's in concord
    too -- most of the prices were in the $650-675 range [2 years ago]; one
    guy in Maynard, who's now retired, was $495 -- almost enuf difference
    to be suspicious.

	We do not get our medical insurance through Digital, we get is through
	my husbands company.  But he's thinking about going to another company
	and they offer 3 different plans that our doctor accepts.  The
	co-pays and deductibles seem similar.  So we were wonder if anyone
	has had any experience dealing with this different plans and what
	your experience were.  Oh, by the way, we live in Mass. and the
	new company is located in Merrimack, NH.

Hi,

Does anyone know of a good Pediatrician in the Marlborough/Sudbury area?  We
live in Marlborough (just across the Sudbury line) and have been making the
schlep into Newton to Newton/Wellesley each time my daughter gets sick.  Not
only is the drive really long and inconvenient, I don't like how the
practice has been changing in the past year (we haven't seen my daughter's
Pediatrician in almost a year, the administration is rude, long waits, ).
Insurance is not a factor as I have opted out onto my husbands plan and his
insurance allows us to go anywhere for health care.

My daughter Justine (7.5 months) is scheduled to see Dr. Nuwayhid in 
Concord for recurring ear infections with a possibility of getting 
tubes because she has not responded to amoxicillin, bactrim, ceclor, 
vantin and possibly the zithromax that she's on now. I was wondering if 
any of you have had any experiences with Dr Nuwayhid (good or bad,

After Justine fell on Monday while pulling up on the entertainment 
center in my living room and was bleeding from the mouth. I decided that 
a 40-50 minute commute to Concord, MA in the event of an emergency is too 
much. I really love her pediatrician, but was wondering if any of you 
can recommend an excellent pediatrician in the Nashua Harvard facility. 
I live on the NH side of Tyngsboro, so Nashua is the closest for me.

	The first decision they ask you to make is what hospital do
you want to be affiliated with.  Does anyone have any information on 
the Pediatric services at Emerson, MetroWest Medical Center (Framingham
Union and Leonard Morse) or U Mass?

	Then you pick a pediatrician - this is what I found in the book.

My wife and I are expecting our first baby.  She is due this Fall.

We are part of HCHP in Southboro.  One of six HCHP doctors will deliver our
child at Framingham Union Hospital.

I would appreciate any feedback you might have on the HCHP doctors or on
experiences with delivering at Framingham Union (delivery nurses, rooms,
care you received, etc.)

The HCHP Southboro doctors include Dr. Connie Jackson, Dr. Dave Goldberg, 
Dr. Hugh Hunt, Dr. Patricia Jay, Dr. Holly Hart, and (new) Dr. Nina Balademos.

Alternately, my wife could use a different HCHP office and deliver at Newton
Wellesley.

    I need a recommendation for an otolaryngologist (ear, nose, throat),
    preferably one that specializes in pediatrics, for a second opinion.
    
    The ent that we are currently seeing is recommending the removal of my
    4 yr olds adenoids and tonsils (due to her symptoms I tend to agree)
    but the doctor and I both feel that we should have a second opinion
    first.
    
    I live in Norfolk, MA (next to Franklin) and am willing to travel up
    towards Marlboro/Framingham or in towards Boston.  I don't belong to an
    HMO so insurance affiliation is not a problem.

Well, we're still looking for an orthodontist in the Greater Maynard Area.

We've gone to 3 so far.  Each has had a very different opinion from the 
next.  One thinks our son's situation is "severe".  The other two hardly
examined him, but are not too worried (though he will need work).  Most
problematic at this point, though, is the doctors' attitudes (2 of the 3).

We are now looking for an orthodontist who is willing to EXPLAIN and to LISTEN.
One who will not act as if s/he is God, but is willing to accept that other
people (esp other orthodontists, but also informed parents) may have other
opinions.

We are certainly willing to have an orthodontist convince us that his/her
way is the right way.  We do not like having an orthodontist who believes that
his/her opinion should be followed without question.  Is there ANYONE who has
questioned their orthodontist or (heaven forbid!) even disagreed with him/her
and has had the orthodontist treat them well?  If so, would you please send
me mail with that orthodontist's name and location?

Hi,

I'm live in Tyngsboro, MA and I am currently in need of a new 
pediatrician in the Nashua, Lowell, Chelmsford area. I prefer Nashua 
though. I bring my daughter to Concord now, but I've found myself very 
unhappy with the office there, especially in dealing with her latest crisis, 
the Coxsackie Virus. 

I'd like to find another pedi, before I find myself in another 
situation where I need a dr after hours.  Unfortuantely, the last pedi 
on call wasn't willing to wait at the office for me to drive 45 minutes 
to take Justine in. When I mentioned it to my own pedi, she said "well, 
if you had called earlier than 8pm, you might have had a better chance 
to get in, but we like to get out of the office to our own lives too". 

Can anyone help?

    I am now looking for pediatricians in the greater Hudson/Marlboro MA area.
    We use the Tufts health plan, so if you know they are part of it, it would
    be helpful but not necessary, since I can always look him/her up.  So the 
    doc isn't too far away (my OB is in Brookline, MA!)  I would also like 
    him/her to be located in one of the following towns.
    
    Acton, Berlin, Bolton, Hudson, Marlboro, Northboro, Sudbury, Stow

    Hi,  I am wondering if anyone has had any experience dealing with 
    Dr Namay of Chelmsford & Lowell.  He is an Orthodontist and we are 
    currently looking for a second opion and will be checking him out 
    but am wondering if anyone in the community has had their children or
    themselves treated by him.  Wondering about personality, patience w/
    young children, price competitive etc.  My 7 year old needs some 
    early work done to maybe help prevent braces or the length of time in
    braces later.

    Can anyone suggest a pediatric dentist in the Framingham, Natick,
    Sudbury area?  My girls are 2.25 y.o. -- one loves to brush her teeth
    -- the other hates it -- guess who needs to see the dentist :-).

    Lunenburg, Leominster, Fitchburg area.  We have HMO Blue. 
    
    Also, I'm looking for a PCP in the Lunenburg/Fitchburg/Leominster area.  I
    desparately need a new PCP - my current one in Westboro is awful.
