   July 7th  We had reservations to stay at Sunny Rest Lodge in
 Palmerton PA. for 2 nights, (being the 7th and 8th) .  I booked
 a couple weeks in advance and they require a 50 deposit to hold
 the reservation and the rooms are 30 dollars more pool side I
 was told on the phone,  so I reserved a room pool side. Total
 price was $337.00 for 2 nights breakfast included.
  
    I arrived at Sunny Rest July 7th at 12:30 p.m., the place is
 not what my wife or I was expecting at all. I went into the
 office and ask if I could see the room before we checked in,
 the manager who's name was Myra, said what difference does it
 make its already paid for, right then I should have known but
 after driving 8 hours straight and it didn't look like there was
 anything else nearby so we stayed.
   
     The place was shabby, the room was not pool side, the pool was a
 good 50 yards away, the tennis courts were about a half mile away
 the rooms were small, way over priced and I never did find the hot tub,
 but supposedly they had one.  The night club was small with limited seating
 mainly at the bar, the club opens 9:30 at night, they do not have a liquor
 license so you have to bring your own. They have a rec room with a pool
 table and a couple of pinball machines. The pool was nice though, average
 size with lounge chairs all around, and the restaurant was adequate no big
 deal. 
 
      We both were very unhappy with this place so we went to see if
 we could leave and get some type of refund, so I went to see Myra and
 she said no refunds, now we were only there a couple hours at this point,
 so I asked if I stayed one night could she possibly rent the room for the
 second night and I could get refunded at least one night, she said she would
 try and to come back and see later that evening, so I did and of course no
 luck. So we spend one night there. The next day went to see Myra again to
 tell her were leaving and checked out at 12:00 noon the 8th.
   
      My wife called when we got home just to see if they had any 
 availability that evening being the 8th, and the man who answered
 said no we are booked solid he claimed they had a lot of walk ins
 so my wife asked if they were going to credit our account and
 then he changed his tune and said, oh! that room was never booked,
 so they must of booked it or never bothered.
