    Trip report - San Franciso Golden Gate NRA (Nat'l Rec Area)
    
    This past week I was in CA, visiting not only Bonny Doon near Santa
    Cruz, but we also stopped by the Northern Part of the Golden Gate NRA.
    This is located over the bridge from the city, and make an immediate
    left once over the bridge. Drive along the access road for a bit, it 
    turns into a one way road (there is another way out later), and after 
    passing an old concrete bunker, there's parking on the left. Plan on 
    footgear for a hike as a steep descent is necessary to reach the black 
    sanded beach.
    There are stairs put in by the park for part of the way. Once you reach
    the bottom, there's more beach sand to the south, or back towards the
    bridge. We saw a few CO folks and did same. The sand was warm, good
    with the cool breeze off the bay.
    To drive back out of the park, proceed a little further along the
    access road and there's a turn back to the right to return to the
    bridge.
