416.0. "Appropriate Behavior?" by DPDMAI::DAWSON (I've seen better times) Wed Jun 02 1993 10:40

Appropriate behavior while nude (and in company) is
something I don't fully understand yet. Is it ok to hug? And if so
what happens if physical reactions happens? Being fairly new at social
nudity I really don't have the social skills (while nude) to really
enjoy the time. Can anyone help with all this? And what happens if
you see and meet someone you like? I would feel kinda outa sorts
asking anyone out when these kind of things seem to be frowned upon.

I think it depends upon the setting. Some places, such as gay
head beach, are a little more liberal, and if you would like to hug
and kiss your S.O. - I don't think anyone would even think twice.
Sex on the beach on the other hand (not to be confused with the drink)
isn't appropriate behavior. I think if you run the risk of getting
excited while sunning at a place like gay head, you run the risk of
being embarassed, and thats pretty much it.

Other places that I've been to however, such as Solair in CT are
much more strict about PDA's (public displays of affection). I've
always thought that some places go overboard. A public display of
affection is as natural as bathing nude. As it turns out, a hug or
kiss (not sucking face mind you) in public is no big deal, and can
be seen at places like Solair.

Quite simply, a simple display of affection is no big deal, a
sexual act, wether it be a kiss or whatever is a big deal.

People who go nude do not want to be viewed as going nude for
sexual reasons. Seeing people having sexual contact spoils that
    image.
