    Is anybody going to the Eastern Gathering this year at Camp Barrett in
    Canadensis, PA?  Do you have any further information? Specifically,
    
    - Has anything changed in the arrangements since the note posted in '89?  
    - Do we still contact Tri-State Sun Club for info?  
    - Are reservations needed? 
    - Will there be a meal plan?
    
    We are thinking of going this year. Eastern PA is a short day's drive
    from the Nashua, NH are, and now that we've got camping gear, we can
    travel a little further afield.
    
    Unfortunately, this is proving elusive
    - I didn't get any listing from PA (717) information for Camp Barrett
    - The issue of N I just got has a full report on last year's Gathering
      and a single paragraph about this year's gathering but no indication
      of whom to contact for details.
    
    In the meantime, I just found the Tri-State Sun Club on pg 113 of 
    N 12.3, with a phone number.  I'll try it, although they're probably
    out on a beach somewhere today. :-;
    
    The gathering is in less than 20 days so I would be grateful for any 
    information anyone may have.

	This year's gathering (like last years) is sponsored by NENA and TNS. A meal plan is only available if you preregister by June 5th, so call NENA immediately if you plan to attend and don't want to have to deal with bringing food. NENA will send confirmation and directions when you register. I will be attending as will a large New England group, although I don't know of any other DECcies at this point. NENA's phone # is 800-722-6362. I have better luck getting someone in the office later in the day. At this point, I would keep calling if you get the answering machine, they don't always call back right away.. See you there!

	I didn't end up going after all...the price was a bit steep for the three of us. I was disappointed but we were looking at spending $250-$350, mostof what it costs for a season membership at our local club. If we go next year, we'll have to budget for it. Just curious... Did it rain or has the chain been broken? ;-) Ralph

	The weather was GORGEOUS!! In fact, it was so warm that I didn't feel like participating in most of the sports. The weather was better here than at the Gathering in California last month! There's another gathering in August near Albany NY (only a few hours away) that should be much cheaper. It's the Northeast Gathering, the 19th-22nd. Maybe you can all go to that..
